OptiNet Operation

The OptiNet system provides “real time” monitoring and control of a facility’s ventilation by the continuous collection of a variety of building environmental data. The Air Data Router gathers air samples from different areas. These samples are then multiplexed through the OptiNet network to be analyzed by the Sensor Suite. This analysis data is communicated to your Building Management System, allowing you to control airflow that reduces energy costs and improves Indoor Environmental Quality. It is also transmitted to the web-based AirGenuity Knowledge Centre for archiving, review, and report generation.

The Air Data Router collects air samples from separate test areas and then transfers them across the OptiNet communications network to the Sensor Suite.

By networking additional Air Data Routers, many separate spaces within a building can be monitored, analyzed and ultimately controlled.

Common sensor platform

The use of a shared common sensor platform eliminates sensor errors to provide a true differential measurement. It also reduces the costs associated with regular maintenance and calibration.

Information Management Server

The Information Management Server receives a plethora of actionable sensor data. It provides:

  • Network management of Sensor Suites
  • Communications to the AirGenuity Knowledge Centre for a web-based user interface, graphing and reporting
  • Integration to a facility's building management system
